Dale Berry, Jr. '02

Dale Berry Jr. '02 graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005 with a degree in Construction Management. Today, he lives in La Grange, Kentucky working as the President and COO for Wehr Constructors Inc., where he and his brother are third-generation owners and operators.

Dale has spent his entire career working with Wehr Constructors. Starting as a laborer in high school, he fulfilled this role throughout college. He began working in the office as an Assistant Project Manager following his graduation, propelling the rest of his 24-year-long journey. “I have been fortunate to have built some of the most recognizable buildings in the city of Louisville and the state of Kentucky,” says Dale of his illustrious experience.

Dale is dedicated to giving back to his community. “Recently we had over 40 Wehr Constructors’ volunteers travel to eastern Kentucky to help the community rebuild houses, churches, and schools after the tragic floods last year. I personally helped rebuild 2 churches as well as a single-family home. Seeing the direct impact of giving back is something that I will never take for granted.” He is also a loyal alumnus of his alma mater, overseeing several construction projects for the school.

During his undergraduate years, Dale fulfilled the roles of Intramural Chair, Social Chair, and Philanthropy Chair for Kappa Sigma. “Nearly 22 years later, some of my closest and best friends are my pledge brothers. We have been through marriages, kids, careers, deaths, and more together and are closer now than ever. They have always been there for me and I for them– they have had an unexplainable impact on my life and have made me the man I am today.”
